Very helpful staff, very spacious room and received complimentary upgrade which was a nice surprise. Beautiful surroundings in an old monastery, really quite different from anything I have seen before, so a rather unique experience altogether.
It was relaxed and very quiet.
No Evening Restaurant so got wet one night walking to nearest. Small beds were one 75cm wide. Could not provide razor i had left mine at home.
Great room, central location, interesting hotel, worth to stay to experiance.
Normal extra cost for beakfast, 15 euro each, but I only want toast and tea, 15 euro is a bit much if you dont eat like a horse!Never paid extra in Germany.
Beautiful surroundings, some stunning architecture in the building itself. It was very quirky and quite unusual.
The room was extremely basic. Booked a double and I go a single.
I liked the building however do not feel that the owners are doing it any justice.
I paid for 2 double rooms however ended up with 2 uncomfortable single beds pushed together. No attempt made to organise the beds into a double in terms of sheeting. Rooms were very basic with lights not working, toilet not fully intact and shower blocked - This was for both rooms. Breakfast was very poor with flies hovering/landing on the food and the milk was slightly sour. It is considerably over priced. In addition to paying the 140 euros (inc. city tax) for each room, an attempt was made to charge an additonal 30 euros for breakfast on each room plus 10 euro parking - that's 180 euros per room.
Characterful hotel within easy walking distance of city centre. Nice selection of art work on display.
Very relaxing and great location for city centre
Did not realise mosquitoes were a problem and opened a window and unplugged a device thinking it was an air freshener! Bad mistake bitten lots but soon rectified when we realised.
The hotel is set in a very interesting building. It had a cosy and welcoming feel, a relaxed atmosphere. It was in easy walking disance to the city centre and provided an ample sized room for our family of four, even though we booked a standard double room. The staff were helpful and provided us with a help and information on restaurants. Free wifi was available in our room.
The room was disapointingly basic with a rather tired and tatty bathroom. Breakfast was expensive but our children ate for free. We also had to pay for parking.
The location is perfect, but thats all
The price/quality ratio is very bad. We paid 95 euro per night and expect a little bit more for that price. The beds are hard and you lay on a leather sheet that is between the matras and the sheets. The blankets were very thin for this time of the year. And the bathroom is very sober.
Very unique and romantic atmosphere, exellent room service, perfect location.
Too expensive breakfasts althouh there is a good choice and nobody prevent you from taking as many sandwiches away as you like)))
Great location. The hotel looks very medieval from outside. Even inside you can feel genius loci.
Nothing to complain about.
Good location, people were frendly and helpfull
The beakfast was really expensive, the interior design was totaly missing
Unique experience of staying in a former monastery. We have done this in Italy and also loved the experience. It is so different from the usual hotel accommodation available to tourists, and therefore very special. We also enjoyed having tea and coffee making facilities, which are not generally provided in Europe.
location was very good, rooms basic but clean
thought the breakfast was expensive, so arranged to eat elsewhere.
Close to city centre. Spacious rooms.
Lack of maintenance in the bathroom. Rooms in the building called Breedhuis. No light in the small portal before the door.
